Is that being shallow?
- 3.7K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 ySimple: he's physically attracted to you. You might not be his usual type, but because he's attracted to your looks, he's willing to see where things go-
Take from that what you will. It's possible that even though you're not his personality type, he might get to know you and decide, "Hey, she's pretty cool. I should see this out..."
Or he might just be using you for sex, or until someone better comes along 😑
You said yourself you're not his usual type, so be cautious... definitely ask him why he's suddenly willing to give you a chance and see what he says.11 Reply
Asker+1 yThe part " or until someone better comes along" I'm quiet and shy he's more outgoing... if the girl us more outgoing like him would that be better in his eyes? Or what do you mean until someone better mean?

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIf it is then your gender is just as shallow. People see what they see in another person. You may not feel like you're alike personality wise and he may disagree. I've had several women feel like I was an exact match with them while I felt we had NOTHING in common.

@Peridot25 men do it way too often. If a woman I'd available they will use her instead of going out and working to find a woman that he likes

Only he can tell. There is no other way to know this.

Also sometimes when we get the diamonds we don't bother to compare it with our "ideal picture of an ideal stone". So that's also reason sometimes when a man gets settled and feel genuinely satisfied and happy being with the person who doesn't fit their "type".
Asker+1 yYou just mentioned a stone and then went into a man being satisfied. I apologize it's not making any sense. Can you please clarify
- +1 y
I ment that how getting diamond is very very rare. So whenever people try to make efforts in getting something then he try to think on the ground of reality and practicality that what he can achieve.
So as I told that getting diamond is tooo rare so nobody would try for that instead they would try to have the perfect looking stone and for that he would have a defination that if i get a stone having these all qualities that's enough for me to have it and get settled with it because dreaming for getting dimond is foolish and impracticable as not all can achieve no matter how much effort they do whole life.
But by luck or whatever anyhow evet he gets the diamond in his hand then he will forget all his list of perfect stone and he would not compare that dimond with his list
For example according to his list if a perfect stone ment it should weight 10g it should be perfect circular in shape etc but the diamond he has got isn't perfect circular shape still it's acceptable to him as ofcourse it's value more than any stone. So he would forget his list of "ideal stone qualities". - +1 y
So it was meaning of my example now let me explain you in the relationship.
- +1 y
Suppose his type of personality he likes is of classy, elegant, strong , independent, very much social confident etc.
But he gets a girl who is shy, insecure about herself etc, but she is kind, empathetic, she understands him better, she cares about him, never disrespect him, loves him truly, motivates him, truly admires him. Then these qualities are soooooo rare to find in these modern world and to get the woman who truly loves and cares him who makes him feel good about himself never disrespect with whom he feels fully satisfied. Then she is like diamond, has definitely higher value than any girl. So he would be more than happy to get settled with her instead of settling with his type girl in personality. - +1 y
So if someone is settling for the girl who is not his type means either she is diamond, more valuable than anyone else or he is simply waiting for better one to come till then just he is getting his needs fulfilled with whatever he has now in his hands.
Only you or he knows this, that which is case?
Asker+1 yKind of. This bachelor wants to date me but I'm nothing like the other girls. We've known eachother for so long and there was always attraction. He's a young guy too so he can have anybody
- +1 y
Yes it happens. And it's very much normal. You would see many examples around you that a person finally get settled with someone who is totally opposite of their type. Just because they found them perfect fit for themselves.
- +1 y
Perfect fit in the sense they feel more satisfied, their emotional needs gets fulfilled the most and they feel most happy being with thar person.
Asker+1 yThanks so much for explaining. I understand now
