Previously I would never have condoned cheating, nor would I be happy with myself if I had done it. However, in my last relationship, it was the first time I had ever been desperate to leave and considered cheating. He was controlling, manipulative and abusive. I desperately wanted out but I didn't know how to go about it, especially since my friends and family loved him and were not aware of what went on behind closed doors. I didn't cheat on him, but I heavily considered it until thankfully I worked up the courage to just break it off. As much as he would've deserved to be cheated on, I'm glad I didn't do it as I know it would've been my biggest regret.
