Would it be better to ask “are you mine?” instead of “what are we?”?

I’ve been dating this man for a couple months and he’s made it pretty clear that he isn’t seeing anyone else. I want to move to the next stage of the relationship and make it official but hate the “what are we” question. I feel like “are you mine?” Is less pressure and a bit sexier.

He introduced me to his family as his girlfriend out of “respect” for his family when we stayed with them at his family’s ranch but we did not discuss it further.

Men- how would you react if the woman you are dating asked you this?

Or should I not ask and just wait for him to ask me? I’m getting impatient

Eh, I'd be a little caught off guard if a girl asked me "are you mine?". I mean I guess it depends on the guy, but it could come across kinda strong.

Since you've met his family and stuff it kinda seems like you're already sorta together if ya know what I mean. Like if he introduced you as his girlfriend to them I figure that means sumthin.

I'd say next time you're hangin out just bring it up casual like "so we're officially together now right?" And see what he says. Or you could wait for him to ask, guys are usually the ones that wanna make it official. But doesn't hurt to have a little chat about it so you're both on the same page.

Maybe send him some flirty hints that you're ready for that next step, without directly asking yourself yet. Like dress up really cute when you're hanging out together or give him extra kisses goodbye or something. Let him see how much fun you are together without the pressure of answering a direct question.

Guys can be so dense sometimes, even when it's totally obvious we like them back! Anyway, what’s desperate about not wasting your time? You being reluctant and worried about throwing off the vibe is going to stick you in a situationship. You can meet his friends, family and still just be in a situationship.
