Would you continue if the person is very average looking?

If you meet someone online , chat through texts, it turns out to be nice chat... then exchange pics and they seem fine in pictures...

Then you finally decide to meet in person.

In person he/she seems very average looking... very average face and skin

They're just photogenic... means he/she looks better in pics compared to real life

So how would you feel, think about him/her... and would you continue to talk to them the same way and even take things ahead?

Continue it... talk the way it was earlier and maybe take things ahead

Continue it.. although will let him/her know in a subtle way that I will slowly cut them off

Straight forward tell them it won't work... I expected something else

Average isn't necessarily unattractive if I been talking with him long enough to finally meet him in person even if his picture looks better then he does I can look pass that and still love the personality he has. I would only break things off with him if things aren't working out between us.

Hello is very average... not just average. And looks way better in the pics because of the camera and image processing the modern smartphones do...
How much of a shock would it be for you to meet him in person... and how would you react and what would you say to him if he asks how did you feel after meeting and seeing him in person?

Most people don't look that much difference in person as in picture unless they are using lots of filters, or the picture is from 5+ years ago. In that case I would be shocked and my trust wouldn't be as strong with him.

Like 90% of people are average and end up with someone average.
remove average and insert normal.

If you have gotten on well with someone and it’s working out, a bit of a difference in a photo will not put me off. Emphasis on a bit.

It also works both ways, she’s fully allowed to take the same approach.

If a person does decide to not go ahead with it, they do need to be a really good catch or they will face more years single… and no doubt regretting.

I would continue to chat to them, at the end of the day looks will fade but the connection you made with them will continue so looks to me is just a bonus

But don't you think you need to have some sort of attraction ( especially sexual) towards a person... if you are in a relationship with him/her... and looks play an important role in it?

Hmm I suppose to some people yes... If I think about my past relationships and my husband, the thing I want more then anything IS to know that he wants me, craves for me; my body, can't wait to touch me --- that is a major turn on! You can feel when someone is truly into it... or just want a quickie... Physical looks, all 3 my serious relationships looked very different from one another ---- but I was very interested in all 3, so I think to me, sexual tention is needed... How do you feel about it?
