Girls, how important is it to you that the guy makes the first move in dating or flirting?

Honestly, it's not important, but it does make it easier for me, as I find people difficult to read a lot of the time, and I convince myself I am overstepping if I were to approach the guy myself.
It's not a requirement, or a demand, as I enjoy taking that step and sending flirty hints to new guy I might be interested in. Whether it's a smile, or a "come over here" hand gesture I send his way, I appreciate his time, attention, and his interest.
I am capable of making the first move too, and I know some guys find it awkward or difficult to approach women, or read women, so it's NOT necessary but it is appreciated when it is done.
I hope guys know that.
