Have you ever grieved a relationship years later because you jumped right into another relationship?
Backstory: I was in a situationship with a guy for about 2 years. It ended pretty badly and I was heartbroken over it. Fast forward about a month later and I met my now ex and began dating him for 4 years. Now that it’s over I feel like I cannot stop thinking about the situationship. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Yeah, I've heard of that happening to other girls before. Sometimes when you jump right into another relationship after a breakup, you never really get a chance to properly grieve and deal with your feelings about the first one.
It's like you just buried all that hurt and never dealt with it. Then when the second relationship ends, all those old emotions can resurface. Your brain might finally feel free to process things now that you're single again.
I think it's normal and healthy to allow yourself to grieve that first guy now if you need to. Crying it out, journaling about your feelings, whatever helps you get closure. Don't beat yourself up over still thinking about him - that's just your mind and heart trying to find resolution.
Just don't forget all the reasons you two didn't work out either. Let yourself feel sad, but don't romanticize the past or get stuck obsessing over what could have been. Take time to heal fully from both relationships now before jumping into anything new. You got this!
Nope never jumping right into another relationship
