Recovering from the heartache and disappointment of a lost love?

Hi Guys and Gals!

On his grave of the famous philosopher NIkos Kazantzakis is one of his famous quotes, "I hope for nothing, I fear nothing, I am free." The perfect thought for those recovering from the heartache and disappointment of lost love...

When trying to overcome those feelings, I think of Kazantzakis and his many references to creatures of legend and creatures of nature... I visualize a bird flying towards a new and better future -- typically a phoenix librating itself from its old life to fly, full force, into the next one...

What about you? What's an inspiring literary quote or metaphor you think of when your heart is aching?
