Why does a guy say dating is not worth it after one heartbreak?

Because it isn’t. Nowadays heartbreak is more likely than not. The vast majority of relationships fail and a small minority of relationship make it to marriage and even half of those fail and among the other half a good portion of them are bad marriages where the couples or one of them out unhappy but staying together anyway, often for the kids or financial reasons.

This is how I feel my two relationships I've been in I got cheated on both times it don't feel good at all and I just don't want to do it again.

It took me quite a few heartbreaks and rejections to get it through my head. There's too much investment for little (if any) reward, and just to end up feeling worse than when you started.

Dating was just to see if you two are compatible, but nowadays there are some people that are just out to hurt others for sport.
