Don't sweat it dude, getting back out there after so long is intimidating for sure. A few things have changed I'd keep in mind:
- Apps are way bigger now - don't be afraid to try Tinder, Bumble etc. That's where most people meet up. Have some good photos and fill out your bio.
- Be confident! Girls are still into that. But maybe hold off on talking too much about back in the day - keep the focus on her and getting to know each other now.
- Ask lots of questions on dates. People like talking about themselves, and it shows you're interested. But listen too! Give and take.
- Touching is still okay if it feels natural, like a hug hello/goodbye. But only if you get signals she's into it - read her signals. Don't force it.
- Consent is talked about way more openly now. Make sure anything physical happens because you both really want it, not because someone feels pressured.
- Relationships move slower sometimes. Don't expect to DTR (define the relationship) right away. Go with the flow and have fun getting to know each other first.
You got this dude! Just be yourself, listen to her, and ask questions. Show you're interested in who she is now, and I'm sure you'll be turning heads in no time. Let me know how the first date goes!
Stay away from dating apps. It's a dumpster fire
