Am I being played?

My boyfriend has been going through family issue, mom has had a health issue, and wanted a little space to deal with everything - but has been texting me every other day. 2 days ago he texted me that he's so sorry and that we would hang out soon and that his mom is getting better. So I replied in a positive manner but now he's been radiosilent, and hasn't texted me back. I respect the space and don't want to text more and want him to come back to me. I'm also kinda of scared that I might be getting played I don't know.

It sounds like it to me , when a partner demands space from a relationship , that’s usually a warning sign that something isn’t good , whether they are up to no good or not , they are still distancing themselves from the relationship they chose to be in with you, the fact that he doesn’t text you back or check in on you for days at a time , is a red flag right there , that shows he just likes the convenience of you , because if you were his priority? He would be calling you and checking in on you daily. My advice to you is to not tolerate this nonsense and kick his ass to the curb where he belongs , I don’t care what anyone says , space is not meant for a relationship, if a partner needs space? you walk into another room , you don’t disappear for days without any communication with your partner , it takes 2 seconds to text someone back that you truly love and value , so there is no fucking excuse for it unless he is in the hospital unconscious , so the truth is he is selfish , selfish people take space from their partners’ because all they care about is themselves, My ex demanded space from me and I told her take all the space ya need , because my ass isn’t sitting here waiting for your return whatsoever. Never be on the back burner for anyone , if someone truly loves you and values you , they will be by your side no matter what , They will make you a priority the same way they want you to make them your priority. My advice to you is to no longer text or call him and focus on yourself , if he eventually tries to call or text you? , ignore him and don’t respond to him right away text him back the next day to make him see what it feels like to be treated like a convenience and than dump his ass
