Am I being played?

I went on two dates with this guy back to back, and then he went to see his family after a couple hours away for a week with his brother. He’s studying AI and computer engineering currently and when he got back he said he had two finals but wanted to see me the weekend after so it’s been two weeks since I last saw him. I was really excited to see him but he said he had to reschedule to next weekend because he has a project he forgot about that’s due in the middle of the week. So it’ll be three weeks since our second date.

he seemed really genuinely interested in person, he did say he’s a bad texter and not great at responding and takes him a couple hours to respond but I understand because engineering classes can be really rough. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt since he keeps reaching out but I don’t know if I should just keep seeing what happens or if I should cut my loss.

Yes and I respect him for it! I just felt very conflicted because initially he wanted to hang out a lot and now he doesn’t check in, only to make plans. But I just messaging to make plans means he’s interested. I’ve just met guys who bread crumb and are not very serious. Maybe this ones different

If you believe he's not putting in enough effort or if the relationship isn't progressing as you'd like, it might be time to reevaluate your priorities. The fact you are so concerned about his texting habits just shows you are not taking this too seriously anyway.

I’m concerned about his texting habits because I’ve never been with someone who is not on their phone 24/7. It’s just something I’m not used to so I mentioned it in case for extra detail. Also I put emphasis because I actually really like him not that I’m not taking it seriously. I don’t know how that correlates to not taking it seriously

96% of males are full of shit. Just cut him off and forget him completely. Unless you want to deal with a guy who’s too busy for you if you end up actually with him. He’ll be too busy to go on dates or Text or see you. Trust he will not be too busy to contact other chicks on the side who he’s super excited about taking their clothes off.
