I asked a girl out who I met at a part-time job recently (after talking for like 2ish months), and she responded with "hey can we talk in person"? I said no as I explicitly asked for a "yes or no", and my female friends are telling me this is a long-winded "no". I've said no to meeting up 3 times now (she's texted and called to ask the same thing), and she's still calling me to ask if we can just meet in person. Should I just keep being firm, or should I put aside my own wishes and meet up with her?

What Girls Said
She is a clever girl because she knows very well what you are up to and she wants to make sure that she is safe before she commits to a possible date with you (or any other person for that matter).
If you take in person on a face-to-face basis, you can observe the facial expressions, the tone of the voice, the movements of the head, the position of the hand and the overall body language, which is something that is not as possible as when you have texting or video calls.
She is simply careful and want to test you before and any sensible woman would do exactly the same before getting into trouble.
Interesting; we've hung out before after work, but this was the first time I asked if we could have a dinner date. So do I go along with the request for her to meet me and talk?
of course you go along. This seems to be a prerequisite and dismissing her is equivalent to telling her that she or her opinions are not important.
So you admit you want to go on a date and therefore, I do assume that you want eventually want to get into her pants if the things go well, right?
Agreed. She’s trying to find a way to let you down easy.
