Get completely hammered. Like almost blackout drunk or at least drink enough to make it believeable. Then ask her out. If she says "yes" then hooray you're in. But if she says "no" then you have plausible deniability. If it comes up ever that you asked her out you can claim that you don't even remember doing it and you wouldn't have if you had been sober. So it's kind of like the dating loophole from Seinfeld. Where that Todd Gack keeps scoring dates with Elaine without ever actually asking her out.😆

It's not so difficult if you've at least established that she may have an interest in you. And the one thing I would do different would be to be a little more specific than some people are suggesting. Like "Hey, I've been really wanting a double scoop ice cream cone and wondering how you feel about ice cream? Is there a good time for you that you might like to hit up the ice cream shop with me?" Keep it simple, keep it not expensive for the first date and make it something where it's easy to talk with each other. My favorite date is ice cream and people watching. If she says she doesn't like ice cream ask her what she does like and if she's not responsive to that, wish her a good life and move on! And if she doesn't like ice cream, who'd want to go out with her anyway? lol
