The friendzone has been created by girls or boys for a very specific and good reason. It is a social construct that serves its purpose to filter out people you don't want to be too close to.

It is hard to be second but believe me, being in a friendzone may result being positive for you at the end after all. By having been placed there, that person gave you a chance to find someone that is perhaps better suited for you then the one that placed you in that ill famed zone. It may not be today but tomorrow or the day after and you might even be thankful one day to have been friendzoned.

Think there can be many reasons attraction for one , circumstance , detail / danger of the particular individual involved , their habits , their status , past situations , relationships status with friends colleagues..

Then of course , sometimes things change.
