Is it normal a young 28 to 29 year old man to want to live a solitary life without talking to anyone or interacting with people?

I've had many bad experiences with people men and women in the past and been through many tough times and difficult situations that lead me to being solitary unable to trust anyone that lead me to seek a solitary lifestyle and solitude leading me to live a life as a hermit

It’s normal if you have had bad experiences or if you’re so insecure of yourself.
This kind of life reminds me the movie “Perfect days”. People saying that’s sad and all are just labelling, since everyone lives the life which wants and if a person has the willing to stay alone because is scared by the world, he should be let done.


On the other hand, just remind us humans are social animals, and your social instinct will probably push you to desire knowing other people at certain point. Solitude can be comfortable but having no one when you’re in difficulties or when you’re having a bad moment requires a lot of strength and not everyone has it.

I see, it’s up to you to decide how to live your life. If you prefer so, do that… but I warn you it requires mental strength and maybe you can repent. You are pretty young and life is long.

i took on solitude and a hermit lifestyle as a way to protect myself from further harm and find some sense of peace.

Understood and comprehensible. But think that a real hermit life doesn’t allow you to have also the kind of contact we’re having at the moment

Well you can't live like that forever, you gotta interact with people at some point in your life if not now them it might be later in the future..
