It sounds like you are inviting the other guy to make overtures to you and persuade you away from the current guy. Truthfully, it sounds disloyal.

If the current guy was present, how would he feel if he heard you describe him as "a kinda boyfriend?"

On the other hand, if you are not committed to the current guy and you won't want to be in a relationship with him, be honest with yourself and then with him and end the whatever-you-call-it. Then pursue whoever you want to pursue.
