I went on 2 dates with this guy I just met. I'm finding he is kinda clingy already. I didn't text him for a day and I don't text much when I do and he just said to me "Hey I’m honestly pretty confused by you I don’t really hear from you too much is everything okay?". What do I say to that? I'm not his girlfriend I barely know him it's super annoying it seems I'm obligated to text him every day... I have a life and texting is dumb, I don't wanna text with him and run out of things to say in person..

Honestly speaking, I think communication is the way.
It’s not mandatory to text 23 hours per day every day, but there needs balance, since maybe he wants a bit more contact.


Communicate with him and tell him your way to do and find with him a way to balance your mutual needs: his need for contact and yours for space.


I tell you, from my personal experience… the last date I had made me suffer a lot because she didn’t answer for days and I was so unsure about the direction we were taking. My fault for not speaking but I was really unsure, but today I wouldn’t do the same error since this was a failed date attempt and I would have suffered less if I talked before.

Communicate that with him then. He is opening up and communicating with you. He’s asking if there’s an issue because maybe it’s not very common where he has been in a situation where the girl doesn’t want to always text. Express yourself, be honest and let him know you aren’t a huge texter

I agree with you 'texting is dumb' I hate keeping a conversation through text it really puts me off. Just tell him you're not into texting and everything is okay there's nothing to be confused about. Let him know you'd like to go on another date I mean if you really do.
