There's this guy I met in the hospital, became friends with him. Long story short, since I gave him my number he's CONSTANTLY texting me. Like, every morning, every night... and always asking how im doing, like several times a day. I mean, he could (hopefully) just be being nice after all my health issues that I've been through lately, but my intuition keeps nagging me that this is something possibly more, which I absolutely do not want. Based on this, would you say he's just being friendly or wants more? Yes ill admit I'm a bit socially awkward myself, and haven't had many boyfriends, so im genuinely confused here.

Regular check-ins not more than daily may mean he is just showing care since you came out of hospital. Bursts of exchanges one day then little for a few days is also normal.

Nobody I know would do what you described would do so to be friendly. He either wants sex or a life partner. Best to sort out what you want, tell him clearly, and let the chips fall where they fall.

At least, that's what I would do. But I'm pretty comfortable walking away. If I'm in then I'm all in, if I'm not I'm not. It seems to work for me.

He's probably thinks you're awesome but is over doing it as he doesn't want to lose the connection but doesn't know where to draw the line without that loss, perhaps you need to gently enforce some boundaries if he ignores them then that is his loss because that's when you cut ties and block him.

You know, on most phones you can disable messaging completely. I disabled mine many years ago. It is wonderful!
