She keeps mentioning him during our conversations. We have a long distance relationship so I am worried.

1 yIs the other guy LD as well? You'll have to win her over so she puts him in the past. That may not be easy. Being remote... you'd have to win her over emotionally... but there is the physical part as well that is required.
If she isn't all in, then you have a challenge.
f she is stuck on someone... she has to decide to move on... for treating her well isn't gonna be enough because females can get very emotionally "locked up". Just talking about him is one thing, but her texting and spending time with him is another.
You may be in over your head. I guess we'll find out:)

Why do you think she's obsessed with him? What's she saying about him that has you worried? I ask because guys in an LDR seem to get very uptight about the merest mention of any other guy orbiting around their girl even if the girl is not interested in the other guy (s). I had the benefit of one very self-assured LDR partner years ago and I can tell you that the experience can be wonderful, though strenuous. Mutual trust is the key. By contrast, I recently had an LDR experience that failed partially bc the fellow could not grasp the concept that my mentioning another guy doesn't mean I'm interested in the guy. (Even after multiple explanations the point just kept coming up. Ooof.)
Make sure you're not the one putting the idea of this guy into a more important slot than he actually is.00 Reply

1 yObsession is quite intense.
I have a bad feeling you’re on the losing end on this.
If there truly is a relationship, end it.10 Reply
She's talking about the guy she's going to leave you for. She's excited about it. She'll start sleeping with him first to make sure he sticks around, so she doesn't end up alone like if she were to break up with you first. She's already started emotionally cheating. Believe it or not, she's getting your permission to cheat right now. It's hard to explain, but it's true.
Sorry man, it sucks. You can lie to yourself and wait for her to work things out with the other guy, or you can give her the space she needs to move on peacefully.20 Reply

u 1 yWhy do people try LDRs? This result seems inevitable.
It's time to find a new girlfriend.
20 Reply Lol.. a girl talking about other man while she is in relationship with you? That's a huge disrespect for your manhood.. you should be more vocal about things you don't like even if it will be resulted with you guys ending the relationship. You don't have anything to lose from such a relationship.. u also shouldn't priotize anyone and think like "you should win them over" nah.. she should win you, men are the ones who give relationship.. you don't ask for it, if she can this much openly talk about diffrent man.. clearly she is not meant to be yours in first place and it was just your turn. Most powerful men are the ones who know to walk away.. keep that in mind and don't decrease ur value infront of her.
00 ReplyHey, that sounds really tough. Talk to her openly about your feelings. Understand why she's fixated and express how it affects you. Prioritize your emotional well-being and consider if this relationship is right for you. Seeking advice from friends or a counselor can also help. Stay strong...
10 ReplyFirst off, have you talked to her about how you're feeling? Honest communication is crucial in any relationship. Let her know that her obsession with this other guy is really bothering you and affecting your relationship.
Try to get a sense of why she's so fixated on him. Is it someone famous or someone she knows personally? Sometimes people have harmless crushes on celebrities or fictional characters, which is one thing. But if it's someone she knows, that could be more serious.
Think about your own feelings and needs too. Are you feeling neglected or insecure because of this? It's totally okay to prioritize your own emotional well-being. Relationships should be balanced and supportive.
If talking to her doesn't help or things don't improve, you might need to consider if this relationship is right for you. You deserve to be with someone who respects and values you just as much as you do them.
00 Reply301 opinions shared on Dating topic. Long distance relationships are headaches.
You're better off to just get a girl in your own town or move up there where she lives.
Otherwise you'll never be in rest, or you end up creating a gap where another person can slip in... either in your heart or in hers.00 Reply
1 yMy opinion is that you leave her.
Her heart and mind belongs to an other man since she can’t stop thinking about him. If this man ever wants to take her away from you or just have sex there’s a high chance he might get it.
Save yourself from bullshit and get a woman who love you intensely and only has you in her heart and mind.00 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yNo big deal until she calls you his name while you're having sex. Then you have to worry.
I think it's pretty obvious what you need to do. Just got a man up and do it.
It's one of the risks you take when you invest yourself in a LDR.

1 yMaybe just straight up ask her if she's into him and see what she says? Communication is step 1 to fix any issues like this

Say no more. I hope people really don't think people can be faithful and long-distance at the same time.

03 ReplyI tell everyone the same thing but my generation apparently does not get it. I only got my previous girlfriends through meeting them in person.

@college-student2021 I really think it's the people on this app versus generation though cause most people go out and meet people like normal individuals. But these people here don't have a social life. Me and you obviously have both we come on the app in our free time and still socialize in the real world but these people lives are online due to their insecurities and lack of social skills. Even their post sound like they're in 5th grade at times lol
I get you 100%. I realized sometimes people who are chronically online tend to speak like a child, I had a coworker in a job who was 30 but he sounded like he was in his teens.
