When I date I can't say it's "just for fun" -- there's a companionship component, an attraction component, and a desire to be with the person to explore possible long-term options. I wouldn't leap to "marriage" right away only because you're trying to suss out the poor pics and make sure you're with the right guy. Additionally, if you've been married before the journey to Marriage 2 is a long, slow one.
Do you even want to get married again?
Looking at my local prospects, I always shrug it off and say no. Marriage 1 pulled me through hell. I wouldn't survive another experience like that one. I can feel it deep in my bones. It would crush me.
But a dedicated life partner for the second half of my life wouldn't be out of the question if I find the right person.
Dating for love. Marriage for me doesn't tie into that. It doesn't make live stronger just because you sign a document
Marriage is the end goal for me, but dating should be fun too, or else it probably won't get to the marriage stage.
