Is it easier if guys reject themselves in the dating world?

People constantly say you need to be confident but there is a line between confidence and ignorance. Most women laugh at me and don’t seriously consider me relationship material no matter how intelligent I am or how nice of personality I have so I don’t approach

Then that's a different tail. Based on your context, sounds like you're a nerdy bro, the friendszone-guy. Who doesn't express confidence and proud for who you are, and doesn't invite a man-to-woman-atmosphere. Who's afraid from rejection by these goddess creatures we put in statues, aah we call them females..

Don't be arrogant dusch or a pig. Grow some balls, be a man and respect females and be a gentleman BUT, if she doesn't respect you by harsh rejection, then just walk away.

And hey, females love intelligence. Don't put your down on something you can be proud of.

Perhaps you mean confidence and foolishness? Ignorance is easily resolved with experience, but the line between natural confidence and egocentric foolishness is fairly thin, yes.

Why would woman tell you that you're not relationship material? We'd need more context to measure this one.

Sounds like you're giving up before you've really given yourself the chance to take off...

Consider if you're physically in shape (within a reasonable weight and fitness level... you don't have to go nuts trying to look like a bodybuilder). You should look healthy. Consult a doctor if there's anything serious to manage in terms of your health.

Next, consider your style -- is your dress style sort of frumpy and shows that you don't care about yourself? If you don't care about yourself, why will others care? You're your own #1, ok? Take a trip to a hair dresser's to get a good style going that suits your face. If you have acne, etc., consult a dermatologist and have that stuff taken care of.

Spend at least 20-30 min out in the sun and fresh air every day -- no more, no less. It will give you a little energy boost and give you some color, especially now in the summer months.

I think that's a good place to start -- though I'm sorry that some nasty women chose to neg you about your looks. That's NOT ok.

easier to not risk rejection , but even if many literally ridicule you , still some won't because "every pot has a lid".
