Guy rescheduled hang out/date but I haven't heard from him in a week?

This guy that I met in college a couple of years ago has finally said that he is interested in getting to know me better (there's been an obvious mutual attraction between us, but nothing has ever come of it.) He knows how I feel about dating (I am petrified) and asked that I not think of it like that, but more of a "get-to-know-each-other" hang out. We had a date scheduled last Friday, but a few hours before we were supposed to hang out, he texting and said he was sick. I was kinda pissed at first, but then he asked to reschedule. Unfortunately, my schedule was already pretty full for the next two weeks, but he said he was willing to wait. I messaged him a couple of days later to see how he was feeling and we talked all night. That was a week ago and I haven't heard from him since. I know this isn't technically us dating or anything, but is it a red flag still? Considering he wants to get to know me, I'd think he'd at least reach out.

He lied to you when he said he wasn’t feeling well. A person that truly isn’t feeling well is not going to let you know a few hours before , he is going to let you know earlier on. He was most likely never that interested and possibly only talked to you that entire day because he was bored. A man that is, that interested would’ve said “hey you aren’t available for two weeks, when is the nearest day you will be available after those two weeks” don’t settle for less

Hell, I just ghosted my job, friends and family for four days because an illness I had ended up almost killing me. Just slept and posted in this app all day. Maybe something similar happened. Unlikely tho.
