Do you think women making the first move on guys, men, will ever become more common? Women being the initiators?

Some people have said over the years that the world is slowly changing, however, me personally, i highly doubt it though, men will more than likely be stuck with this tradition or gender norm whether they like it or not. As in, guys always normally having to be the ones to ask the woman out and make the first move all the time, be the initiators, or men having to court women, as some people call it, this is something i see always being one-sided.

Hence why, i'm sure there will always be more male wizards than female wizards.

It wasn't uncommon as far back as 1970 when I started dating in 10th grade.

My first girlfriend was the one who made the first move by catching me alone, sitting down to talk, and signaling with her body language that she wanted me to kiss her.

Another girl that I knew and flirted with at work said she had just moved into a new apartment and asked if I wanted to see it.

One girl that I liked at a different job said she had just gotten a new car and asked it I wanted to drive it.

Other girls sent very clear signals that they liked me.

I asked other girls out without getting any signals from them.

I met my wife through a pre-internet dating service in 1994. We met at a restaurant and really connected. But I had other dates lined up and might not have called her back right away.
I was surprised when she called me two days later to say a friend had offered her two concert tickets and she wondered it I was interested.
Of course I was interested!
We went to the concert. She slipped her little hand trustingly into mine on the way in. We had a great time at the concert. We held hands a lot during and then on the way back to the car.
Since we got along so well, I blew off the other matches I had and we started dating exclusively.
I admired her courage and initiative in calling me, showing me that she was interested, and going after what she wanted.

I don't think it was ever the case that women couldn't initiate. Guys who have a problem with that are weird. And girls who sit around like wall flowers waiting for a guy to notice them and ask them out are going to lose out on opportunities.

I personally experience women approaching ever since my face matured this year; though, I must admit, it's a double edged sword: to be appealing enough to attract women, you attract more than just women...

And by approach, the most women will usually do is look at you and try to signal for you to approach. My current romantic interest actually approached and introduced herself, which is the one and only time I've experienced this - she's very athletic, so her body positivity likely gave her the confidence. I'm a blonde introvert, so this was the right move on her part; I find it very difficult to approach, no matter how open they make themselves. I am assertive and confrontational when needed, but not in matters of the heart.

Women's sense of self is tied to the feeling of being Wanted; this is why so many want to be chased, or convince you to chase them. It isn't as simple as "roles"; we grossly overlook how many outcomes are a result of instinct, not choice. Be approachable, be a policing presence, and they will notice you: what did it for me is developing Silent Confidence, but this took over a year of self improvement. Women know I won't bother them, they have to make the first gesture. Just be manly, don't be a jock.

It’s already way too common.

Because of the many nasty assumptions guys make about women being “easy” or “whores” or any other negative thing under the sun, it’s less seemly for a lady to make the first “move”.
In the back of the guy’s mind is always this extra little idea that this girl is easy, that less effort has to be made bc she’s the one starting things up, blah… blah… blah.

It also goes against the natural grain of the male instinct to “hunt” and earn things in life. If he hasn’t done anything to EARN the girl’s attention, then her attention will always be a little cheaper, less worthy.

Mind you, there’s always an exception or two to this… a few blue g@gers are happily married to women who “started” things, but they’re not the typical standard… they’re just lucky, as are their ladies.

Probably not because men will complain that women should step up and do the approaching and asking since that's fair but the moment a woman says she approaches men then she's instantly labeled masculine and not feminine for doing so and she's a lower value woman for not being feminine and traditional.

It’s been pretty common for me , I would say it’s been 50/50 , I do prefer a girl asking me out first because most girls’ pretty much know what they are after , so when a girl asks me out , that I am interested in , it’s easier just to be myself and she usually keeps coming back for more. I actually have always been the initiator most of my life. I have been in a relationship for 9 years with the guy I initiated stuff with we are engaged etc. a lot of women I do know prefer men initiating but there is some women out there that are initiators like myself.

No. This will never be 50/50. The women who are making a move on guys nowadays actually were always that type regardless of the time era or culture but refrained from doing so out of strict cultural norms. But these types of women were always naturally brave.

No most women are terrified to make a move first because they think it makes them look to easy, desperate or they are just too chicken sh*t to risk rejection and/or lazy. They mistakenly believe that men “enjoy” taking huge risk when I reality most men only do that because traditionally they HAD to not because we wanted to.

However I will say that women do have one legitimate reason not to make a move right away. Some guys take that as a green light to get laid quickly. It’s usually not (sometimes it is but not always). But that’s I can understand that part of it from a woman’s POV.

It does happen and honestly if women would stop waiting on this magical man to show up. Look…. You limit your options when you wait on people to approach you. Especially when…. Sometimes the kind of people approaching aren’t the kind you want.

Because a lot of times that woman wanting a man to approach isn’t the only woman whose into whatever guy it is. So the chances of him approaching someone else, or even someone else approaching him are high.

You don’t have to operate in ‘society’ there are those alpha and sigma females out there. Just like there are alpha and sigma males. Now I’m not getting into the weeds in that I think some of it’s very low IQ and a lot of people don’t know what they’re talking about.

There are those women who become bitter and angry with men though. Because the kind of men they want don’t approach, and the guys they don’t are pestering them.

My girlfriend asked me out first, and I reciprocated a few days later after figuring out some shit about myself and being poly.

The reality is that men and women have spent a really long time doing things a certain way, and we do things that we because it kinda works. We wouldn't doing things that way if it didn't work.
