Why would someone say “you’re the first person to reject me” ?

Number one. I was very respectful to this person. Number two nobody is entitled to anybody. Number three. If nobody has ever rejected this person and I’m the only one…. Isn’t it easy to find someone else?

Man, that's a weird thing for someone to say after getting rejected. A couple thoughts on it:

- They're probably just feeling hurt/embarrassed about being turned down for the first time. People say dumb stuff when their ego is bruised.

- It could be a manipulative tactic to make you feel bad or guilty for rejecting them. Like "oh you're so mean for being the only one who said no".

- Might be they've never seriously pursued anyone before so they're not used to handling rejection maturely.

- Could also be they were exaggerating to seem more desirable. Like "no one's resistant my charms before!".

Ultimately it doesn't really matter if you were truly the first or not. You said no respectfully and that should be the end of it. Don't let some line try to make you second-guess your decision. They'll live. If they keep bugging you about it, might be time to distance yourself a bit so they get the hint. You did nothing wrong!

It could be that they're simply making an observation, but it's more likely that they're trying to flex on you to make you think you're walking away from a good thing.

Because when you’re used to getting your own way or getting every guy (or girl), it stings more. I’ve been rejected and it sucks, but you get on with your life. That said, it’s easier for people like me to move on because I don’t get every guy I want. It %100 was not you, it was her although I know you probably already know that.

yeah rejection sucks. I’m not one of those people who like rejecting another person. But at the same time. It does not make someone want them more acting entitled

Nobody likes rejecting people, except for maybe narcissistic sick fucks who get off on hurting people. You’re right in some situations. I know with me, I only got rejected a few times but I got so used to guys fucking me over that I came to expect it and when it happened (or when they rejected me), it stopped hurting as much so that was my experience. But I also hear about people who go on killing sprees over constant rejection so your point is valid too.

Yeah absolutely there are people who like rejecting people.

But the people who kill people. Most the time they aren’t even killing the people who hurt them. Just random people
