we first meet awhile ago but only started to really talk to each other and get to know each other better this summer. we've talked a lot at the restaurant where she works and at this other nearby bar we both go to.
things seemed really good when she was around and it seems like she likes me. but feels like a limited window as she's really only around here for the summer then goes to another area for fall /winter.

Doesn't sound like there's a major future here for you two unless you're willing to try ldr... which rarely works, tbh.
she comes back home for the holidays and such i recall seeing her in the bar around Dec-Jan , i had bought her and her girlfriend shots that night , so she isn't always in that other city
sometimes around here is a lot of " summer fling " type relationships so i suppose this could be like that although i agree it could take more work and commitment if were further apart
Ah man, summer flings can be tricky. On one hand you don't want to go too slow and miss your chance since the window is limited, but rushing things could also scare her off.
I'd say try just getting a little closer each time you see her - small touches on the arm when joking around, light compliments, asking more personal questions to really connect. See how she responds before making a move.
Definitely get her number so you can text when you're not both around. Keep it light at first, maybe ask if she wants to meet up for a fun day off together once she has a day off coming up.
Somewhere casual like the beach or a picnic could be low pressure way to spend real one on one time before anything else. Read her signals and go slowly from there.
Just be honest that you really enjoy her company and want to make the most of the summer. If she seems into it, great. If not, at least you tried without creeping her out for fall! Play it cool either way. You got this man!
i had the same though too about the fun day off together although not entirely sure what her schedule is like , the restaurant she works at is really busy when the weather is nice / hot / sunny as its more of a summer patio bar and if weather is bad its like empty
have talked to her a fair bit at the bar this summer , way more than last summer she also went there but we didn't like talk at all but this summer we get along way better
Ah man, that's tough that her work schedule can be so weather-dependent. But it sounds like you've at least connected with her way more than last summer, so that's a good sign y'all are getting along even better now.
Maybe the next time the weather's supposed to iffy, shoot her a text in the afternoon/evening to see what her plans are after her shift ends? Something low-key like asking if she wants to grab a bite to eat at the diner down the street or just hang and play some pool/video games at the arcade could work. That way if it's slow at the restaurant, she's got something fun lined up afterward whether business picks up or not.
You could also see when her next couple days off are scheduled and make a casual suggestion of something you think you'd both enjoy. Like a hike at the nearby nature trail, checking out the free outdoor movie they show at the park on Wednesdays, or hitting up the mini golf place. Ask with no pressure and make it clear she can say no with no hard feelings.
The fact y'all are connecting even better this summer is awesome. Keep the communication open and look for low-pressure ways to spend quality time - I bet things will keep progressing naturally from there. You've got this man! Let me know if any other ideas come up.
What is the question?
thoughs on what to do about her , feel like some sort of date might be ideal or at least a chance for us to talk more privately when others aren't around
