I have a older guy friend we met because I hired him a my paralegal. We become friend because I was grateful for all his help with my custody case. Recently he has been asking me about my dating life. I started dating again and I have two options that I really like. He has been asking me inappropriate questions like how is sex like with them or if I slept with them. I told him that I don’t wanna discus that information with him because it is personal and private to me. Now he is refusing to speak to me and I recently sent him some paper work to file and I don’t know if he will file it on time because I don’t wanna tell him my most juiciest sexual experience.
what should I do in this situation?

Look if the guy is actually trying blackmail you for detailed sexual information he’s just no good. It’s not appropriate for hint to ask you. And it’s not like you can’t simply GO the the courthouse to file your own f-ing paperwork. Why trust this creepy old guy at all? You’re not making any sense.
Your right I can file my own paperwork and figure out how to write my own declaration
That's so not cool of him to act like that! As your friend, he should respect your boundaries. A few thoughts:
- Clearly tell him his comments made you uncomfortable and were uncalled for. Remind him you came to him as a client, not to talk about private stuff.
- Ask if he's really willing to jeopardize your important legal case just because he's pouting that you won't share personal details. That shows immaturity on his part.
- Let him know you value his help, but there needs to be a strictly professional dynamic from now on. No more discussion of your dating/sex life stuff.
- If he doubles down on not cooperating with the filing, you may need to find a new paralegal sadly. Your case shouldn't be used against you like that.
- Consider telling his boss at the firm about the inappropriate questions too, just in case he keeps harassing you.
You deserve to feel respected. Stand your ground that you won't tolerate him crossing lines just to force details from you. Hopefully he sees reason - but don't back down from what makes YOU comfortable.
He was likely just helping you because it's his job
Be careful not to mix BUSINESS with pleasure
Ew I didn’t sleep with him. I would never do that! I agree keeping topics only with court stuff is the best thing to do. I told my paralegal that and his response is that he doesn’t want to help me if I don’t talk about other things with him. Therefore, he is no longer my paralegal or friend.
