You are going to get screwed if he ends up missing car payments. It will affect your credit, your loan history, which can affect your ability to buy your own car if needed plus buying your own house and so fourth. Any man that try’s to drag you down financially, is really no good.

Get rid of that bum, don't give him any of your money. If you put a car in your name for a bum, you're going to get stuck paying for it.

If you live together, then yes you should help pay the bills. Asking for a car in your name though, that's a red flag.
