It's just uncommon, but there's nothing wrong with it at all. My cousin got married to a guy 15 years older than her. My friend is also getting married in a month to a guy 15 years older than her. My grandma married my grandpa who was 15 years older than her.

I think that people that say it's weird are really close minded. The norm for many thousands of years before this century was that people get married around even 13 years old. Age of consent did not even exist. I understand that we have different standards and a different sense of morality nowadays on what's considered too young, immature orr "put together" and what age you can actually think for yourself, but I think as long as you're past the age of puberty, it's fine to make your own choices as long as you're held accountable for them.

I would personally date someone that's 20 years older than myself. I would also be willing to date someone 20 years younger than myself, but only when I'm around 40 years old. 10 years old is definitely too young. I would say 20 you're a grown adult. However, I would say that the chances of being compatible with someone 20 years younger or older is not as likely as it is if you were to date someone a few years in difference from yourself

My honest opinion though, is that age is a non-factor when dating. Just do what feels right to you and as long as the feeling is mutual and there's consent, it's fine.

No i think its weird for anyone to date someone young enough to be their child/grandchild or old enough to be their parent/grandparent

at age 50... I would not call it the norm, but is certainly not abnormal to see a 30 and a 50 year old together...

both of them could be mature enough and also youthful enough to find a middle ground dynamic
