What in the world is this question lol. There are people who date even 20 years younger and older. It's not creepy. My cousin married a guy that's 15 years older than her. My friend is getting married to a guy that's 13 years older than her next month. My grandma also married my grandfather that's 15 years older than her. There's much bigger differences in the world too. You shouldn't worry about what society thinks, but if you really DO care about what they think about your relationship, then use this method of calculating what is socially acceptable.

Always start with the older person in the relationship. For example. His age is 23, so 23/2+7 would be the equation. The answer to that is 18.5. So the youngest he would be able to date that would be considered socially acceptable would be 18 and a half years old.

That means a 70 year old can date a 42 year old. A 50 year old can date 32 year old. A 30 year old can date a 22 year old. And a 20 year old can date a 17 year old. Get it?

But honestly age is just a number. I don't believe in having to follow social norms. As long as you're compatible with the person and you're mutually attracted to each other and consent, it's fine.

Not at all, thats a very close age range with similar maturity. For me personally 5 years in my 20s is the max I'm comfortable with. At the very early 20s that range is closer since the younger you are the closer you get. Its fine for a 23 year old to be with a 28 year old if the 23 year old is mature. All adults, and similar life experiences. But when you are 21 and you date 5 years younger thats worlds apart of a difference so that would definitely cross boundaries. The older you get the less differences in maturity so the wider the acceptable ranges become.

When I was a teenager there were girls dating peoples dads.. they were 16 and the dad was late 30's early 40's. Now that shit was legal where I live and I thought that was creepy because literally he had a child the same age, but people didn't bat an eye to it. Why? probably because the girls who did that were sluts to begin with. Now days people are trying to make 2 or 3 year age gap creepy, like wtf? lol

No, that’s a fine dating range. It’s only a 2-3 year difference and a lot of times they’re still in the same stage of life (college, graduating, entering the workforce, etc.). If a 23 year old were into 18-19 year olds it’d be a different story simply because I feel like the stage of life is different.

Not really, unless he’s I’m not dating you as you are 22 and I only date 20-21 yr olds, then it’s weird as fuck. Also most people would be hard pressed to tell the ages of 5 girls aged between 20 and 23, especially if you add a little bit of make up.

In my experience if the difference is too much, it might not be that fulfilling of a relationship, but that's their problem.
