Hardest question I've ran into in a long time.

I mean both genders have that tendency, but the difference in my opinion is where the "fear factor" of it is placed. For us dudes... we tend to have that fear only for particular people. Women might care what strangers think. That's the basic bitch of what I think.

By "particular person" I mean that could just be myself... and nobody else really gives a shit in reality. As a child it could've just been my Mom because she has power over me and will give me hell... drill sargents, girlfriends, bosses et cetera later in life maybe. But that's me as a male... if it's just me and people I don't give a shit about... then I don't give a shit.

Women from my perspective... seems greater than that. Even in private they'll try to hold me to social standards. Like in private even, it's always a chick that tries to check me for saying n** f***** n** f***** and so on for no reason. I mean... I just woke up and really had to pee. Dudes just laugh at me, even when they're a n** or a f*****. (possibly some n** faggots). Of course, I run into bitch ass dudes that get offended... but they're basically bitches too.

Women seem so socially aware that it's all most of them think about in fear of doing wrong. They seem like the true tryhards to fit in... as well as bitch ass dudes.

I'm going to say girls as my final answer. I mean they'll try to conform to whatever.

I would say girls’ do , but guys’ aren’t to far behind as well, it just comes down to the attraction they feel for the other person , on how much they want to be close to them , and wanting to feel accepted by them. Most people dress up to impress when it comes to looking for someone or dating and relationships , you want to feel good about yourself and want the other person to want you the way you want them basically. Some people just don’t give a shit and say take it or leave it , this is who I am. Me personally is attracted to a girl that wants to look good for me , that’s a huge turn on to me , to me is shows she appreciates me and values me if she is taking the time to look good for me and I will usually do the same for her

I’m going to have to say women, just based on what we wear on a date! I’ve had guys ask me out for a “nice” dinner, and emphasize the “nice”. So I’ll get my hair and nails done put on an LBD, only do drive there and discover that it’s a family owned pizza place, and he’s wearing jeans and a T-shirt FFS! It is SO embarrassing to show up to a date completely overdressed!

I've only ever had one guy I dated, ask me out to a "really nice" dinner with him, and when I walked in, he got up, walked towards me, gave me a kiss on the cheek, and said "I am so sorry that I did this to you, I only live five minutes from here if you could drive me to my place, I'll put on a suit and take you somewhere nice like I promised.” and I am going to be marrying that guy!

It depends on the person, tbh, however, generally...

Some girls have their routine down and don't get too fussy past that. (Many guys are the same.)
Some guys take an hour to gel their hair and are very conscious of their outfits, etc.
Some girls spend an eternity at the salon then fuss constantly with their hair the rest of the week... and we won't talk about the fussy makeup...
Some guys and girls give up on themselves, feeding into insecurities and feelings of self-loathing and so they don't care what they look like.

Tallying the total, Girls tend to fuss over themselves more than Guys. ;)

Girls 100%. They care much more about how they look than men do, and they also care a lot more about how other women look as well. And they definitely do care about the way a man looks.

Females also are more socially nervous and are hypersensitive about how they appear in public/social situations, worrying who might be watching or listening, or worrying if they will embarrass themselves or if someone else will make them feel embarrassed, which would also explain why women tend to have social anxiety more than men.

Most definitely girls. I care about how I look for sure though. My routine is I clean my facial hair to leave a little fuzz, use a little coconut oil in my hair (to prevent frizz) and comb it a little until I have it the way I like it. I also clean my body hair occasionally. It usually takes me 30 minutes to an hour to get ready... (an hour if I take my time for a relaxing shower, which I tend to do most of the time).

Some girls take longer than me, but there are many that take shorter than I do. I would say most girls take longer than most guys though.

Tbh I think it might be men. Every man I've ever known freaks out after getting their haircut for like a whole day after questioning if it looks good. Always fixing their outfits and shoes. Maybe I've just been surrounded by too many men all my life and not enough women tho
