Men are the disposable sex. Women are the prize. Every parent, not just fathers, would throw away a million sons to save one daughter. Proof, you ask? Selective service and the draft. Parents have been quite literally throwing their sons away for GENERATIONS, and there has never been a meaningful challenge to the military industrial complex’s ownership of every able bodied male in developed nations. I cannot relate. My father only gave me his opinion when he was asked.
But admittedly, I did not make bad relationship choices, even though they ended.
They were all good people and I don't have anything negative to say against them. Sometimes it just doesn't work and that is fine.

Dads teach their sons how to make the right choices, but they don't teach their daughters. Moms usually do that, and Dads want to make sure that what Mom taught her is correct. After all, Mom picked Dad to marry, and Dad often wonders why she did that. 🤔

Let’s be fair it’s not ONLY , is it ! , I’d agree majority but it’s never that black and white.

My understanding would be that guys are the protector and so having a daughter this basic biological trait would only be emphasized. There is also the fact that generally speaking guys know guys , motives , attitudes , motivations , if you wanna have an insight into how guys might think you ask a guy right?

It’s not really a negative to have a dad that looks out for you but though is it? I mean yeah it can be a little overwhelming or frustrating at times but protection born out of love , that’s good right?

Well this is gonna sound really unfair. But regretfully... it is the truth.

When a son makes dumb mistakes like getting someone pregnant a lot of parents don't stress as much. Perhaps they think it's because their son won't be the one "stuck with the baby".
But when it is their daughter that is the one getting pregnant, they immediately get scared cuz if the father bails out, the money to take care of the baby is gonna come out of their own pocket, unless the mother is already living on her own and making a steady living. And even then, the daughter could end up demanding them (as grandparents) to be the ones babysitting.
All in all, the community we live in will tend to consider to favor the mother to raise the child.

It sucks. But it's how things are nowadays.

Not true at all. I have 5 sons and me/my husband are worried about if they end up with a terrible woman. Some women out there are just out to ruin mens lives. It's probably more scary when having sons vs daughters when it comes to dating tbh

Any decent dad loves all of his children and cares for them equally. I know that most dads love their children and want them to become decent people someday.

Unfortunately sometimes despite a parents best efforts (mothers and fathers, the parental units) people have free will. Some people have shitty parents and become decent people, other times mama tried as the country song goes. It’s like trying to keep my daughters off the polls and sons out of jail in the newer country song.

It’s heartbreaking when one of your own children starts making shitty decisions and never turns from it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a son or daughter it’s horrible to see your own child doing these sorts of things.

But. Once they’re adults you have done all you can do. Use the rod parents or spoil the child this I do know.

Because what makes some of the strongest, most empathetic and powerful men is also what will send woman on a villain arc that would make the Scarlett witch look like a playground bully.

Guys have a tendency that when they get thrown into a den of wolves, they scar and heal. They keep revisiting until they've found out how to outmanuver, out think and defeat the wolves totally.

parents will do everything in their power to ensure their daughter doesn't end up in an abusive relationship but they couldn't give a rat ass about their son and in many ways see him as a loser if he's still single regardless of what those reasons are

daughters are allowed to have their preferences but sons are not allowed to have preferences

Who would you say are more accountable for their bad behaviour - men or women?

Its because dads take it as its their responsibility (financially and security) to take care of their daughter till suitable man candidate comes. Women can have severe consequences on bad dating choises like unwanted pregnancy. So i would say women have more to lose.

Previous talk does not mean they do not care about their sons. But father expect their sons to become man and fight their own fights and lot of the time it means man does lot of things they do not actually wanna do.

Honestly, I do think that dad's are overprotective of daughters just because they're "daddy's little girl". They're harder on their daughter's choices and they would rather the daughter always remains just their daughter. Believe it or not, I think it's immaturity and not being able to accept their daughter's are not just their kids but have a life of their own.

If it's just "normal" bad choices, then the mistakes that guys make tend to be less impactful and don't create as much lasting harm to them than is the case with girls. On the flip side, career mistakes that guys make can be much more lasting than the mistakes girls make on average.
