I am not ugly but I have never been able to get a girlfriend until the age 27. Vast majority of my friends are males and although they are straight men , I am much more successful with interacting and befriending with males. I am sick and tired of chasing women and being unsuccessful. Should I go for gay men?

I would not recommend trying to force yourself to be gay if you're not naturally attracted to men. Here are a few thoughts:

- Just because dating women hasn't been easy so far doesn't mean you need to switch teams. Dating is hard for many people, regardless of gender.

- If you're truly only attracted to women, going after gay men wouldn't be fair to them. They deserve someone who's authentically into guys.

- It's fine that you have more male friends - friendship and relationships are separate things. Having one success type doesn't predict the other.

- Have you tried expanding your search beyond chasing/pursuing women? Let connections develop naturally through shared interests and activities.

- Focus on being comfortable/happy single. A healthy partner adds to your life, not completes it. Work on yourself inside and out - confidence matters!

- Consider trying a matchmaker or new dating apps/sites. A new approach could yield new results.

Overall I'd say don't force anything, whether straight or gay. Keep an open mind, work on self-love, and let interactions evolve freely. The right person's worth waiting for.

As someone who dated both and had sobering experiences doing so, also 27 and never in a relationship I want to say, it's not better on the other side. If you want a serious relationship as a gay man you are going to feel hurt and frustrated.
