What is your opinion on how going out/paying the bill etiquette should go?

I don’t think anyone should leave their house without money. But my opinion is whoever asks who out should pay the bill, and I don’t believe in going “ Dutch” at all unless the other party offers and it’s mutually agreed…

I am Dutch, and with a group of friends 'going Dutch' makes sense; there is of course also merit in making a pot of money and paying everything out of that (that's what we would do while going on a night of 'Binge Drinking'; everyone ends up drinking the same anyway till people start 'dropping' one by one).

Would I ask a lady out, then I strongly feel the whole bill is for me; not just because I am asking the lady out, I am also still somewhat old-fashion. I just love to spoil my love interest/ partner as much as I can.

How convenient it is for a woman to say she thinks whoever asks should pay, since men are also the ones expected to do the asking. Men are the ones who have to put themselves at risk of rejection, the thanks they get is also having to pay for the date, too. Think about it.

The reality is, the reason women say whoever asks should pay is purely hypocrisy, entitlement and self-importance.

When women start ACTUALLY approaching men and asking them out, then they can say whoever asks should pay. But until then, it should be the norm that the bill is split.

Women have made it clear they want equality, but only when it benefits them. It's not a good look, ladies.

I think people should pay their own bills, unless the other person offers to pay for both of them. It should never be an expectation for one to pay for the other.

It's very simple -- the guy should always pay, period. And if she lets me pay for her dates with other guys, all the better.
