Do you think it would be rude if I pay with a $50 bill?

I’m worried about this because I know it could maybe be frustrating or annoying.

I plan on walking to my local cvs after school ends to get a card for my mom since she just got back from the hospital and she’s resting now and I want to get her some things to make her feel better. And another birthday card for my friend.

The thing is, I don’t have any money less then 50 because I got that money from my birthday present.

Do you think it would be okay or should I just do it another time?

And is it rude?

Not at all. However some stores have limits on how large of bills they’ll accept to prevent counterfeit cash. Most of the time those limits are on $100 bills.


Overall tho, it’s not rude at all, and I think you’ll have success. It’s not even weird or awkward or anything. When I worked in retail people paid with $100 bills and I didn’t think anything of it.

I don't think it would be rude, and they should allow you to pay for your merchandise with a $50.00 bill with no problems.

No, nothing rude about that. The only reason that should be a problem for a store is if you went in right after they open. But if they’ve been ringing people up for hours, they’ll have plenty of cash in their register to give you for change.
