Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps guys do. For women it's usually the more maternal "hero" instincts (nurturing, understanding, consoling strength as well as that ability to multitask and think out of the box). For men it tends to manifest as the "can do"/"fix it"/"get it" instinct that comes off as protective and capable. Yes, both of those are relatively appealing for most people.

"Hero" doesn't have to be physical. It's when the guy is "there for you" and contributes a valuable idea or resource that is helpful in resolving a situation. Strategic planners, like generals, and specialists, like medics, for example, are just as heroic as the soldiers on the field. Yes?
