It's generally rude to promise something and then flake out without any notice.

At least text to say "Hey, something came up. Raincheck for tomorrow?" to cover yourself and be a gentleman.

Tbh, a guy who does that gets perhaps one or two more chances before getting written off.

Bepends on the reason. For my case I wouldn't mad if it's happens once but you need make up for it.
