I've been at my new job for 3 days, and I just know it's not gonna work out. I was gonna call when they opened and tell them I quit.

I have quit during the middle of my shift in the past. I didn't give a single fuck about professionalism when I reached at that point. And yeah I got hired by other companies later.
Noone actually cares, do what is the best for you.
Do you think companies care when they have to fire a shit-load of people? They don't. So stop giving a fuck about your exit.

@hotzone417 I did almost the same thing, only I quit on the spot, because management had created an intolerable work situation for me. By trying to be socially/racially in step with the then government mandates for an Aerospace company, they promoted a man 'out of the manufacturing shop' as my supervisor and I have a Masters Degree, but not with the same 'on the job' experience in manufacturing. I left immediately and went to work with the Federal Government, and later to the State.
