Is it a bad idea to put my two weeks notice in right before I taken vacation?

I had another coworker do this a few months ago and it wasn’t long after my bosses did something way out of line and I knew after that I was gonna do what my coworker did. Take all my vacation and sick days then quit. I wanna do it the right way but I’m afraid of potentially getting screwed out of my days, so now I’m considering just sending them a text the day of and letting them know i quit. Also, I already have another job lined up.

Not really sure how long you have been at this job, but say the other one doesn’t work out, and you unprofessionally quit this one, you are burning a bridge with this job for a reference for your resume.

Check their policies. Legally they may be obligated to pay you for bused vacation.

And they’re a dick company with dick bosses: I’ve busted my ass and been one of their best emloyees for almost 4 years. During COVID, when they’ve had no one. Coming in on days off, working over. I’ve gone above and beyond and two of them decided to be little disrespectful bitches a few months ago and that’s when i decided ima fuck them over
