What do u guys think of beach dates as a first date?

I would say it's a little weird to go alone to a beach with someone who you only want to be friends with. It would be different if it were with a group of friends and he happened to be going as well.

I think it depends on your relationship. I don't think it should ever be called a date when it's a friend so they doesn't get the wrong idea. I've had female friends that I've done things with as friends only, including going to movies, concerts, dinners, weddings, etc., but it was strictly as friends. I would be worried he is hoping by doing things with you that you will become interested in him as more than a friend.

did you go alone with your female friend to these hangouts? and did they ever seek more than a friendship? if you don't mind me asking. I am also worried he is trying to still be more than friends despite me saying otherwise.

I did hangout alone at those places with female friends (obviously not the wedding), but we also made it clear we were going as friends. The never sought anything more that a friendship, at least they never said they did or behaved in such a way to make me think they did.

If you're not sure about this guy's intentions, I suggest you limit how much you see him.

At the time I didn't have a girlfriend, but did have a couple of female friends that I was closer with and we would go on actual dates. You will have to try to figure out what his intentions are.
