1 yI don't think anyone could or should choose someone based on one character trait. There are times and places when a certain degree of extroversion seem appropriate and the same applies to introversion. No matter how often it is asked I don't think you will ever find anyone who sincerely believes that they like or are attracted to someone because of their personality, the size of their tits or dick, how sexual they are. Human beings are complex and trying to reduce them to a certain physical or emotional trait in order to decide where or not they are attractive is a fools game. The entire package is always unique and I don't think it should be simplified. Someone is attractive and we try to make their acquaintance. Once we have, we decide whether its someone we want to put time and energy into or not. That decision is based, at least for me, on the entire personality and physical make up. Once I know someone I might be able to say something like I like her outgoing personality but even then it's part of her and does not necessarily mean I woul;d like that same personality in someone else.

1 yThe funny thing is it seems like opposites attract for this. Out going guys always liked me and I was shy and I felt that made being able to talk to them and open up much easier. And it seems the cool quiet guys always end up with outgoing, talkative girls.

Haha they do but I'm seriously shy or rather I should use what my therapist uses and say selective

I get it. I'm actually very introverted (shy/preferring smaller groups), but I have to push myself to be extroverted for work and to help make a difference in my community. When it's GENUINE shy/modest tendencies that's a positive, but when girls FAKE IT just to get a guy it's a pisser and one wonders how some guys don't figure it out sooner.
- 1 y
Oh yeah that's true. I don't understand why girls do that. I know a girl like that and she wonders why she's still single smh
- 1 y
Smh that's so ridiculous to me. Gives girls who are really shy a bad rap.
- 1 y
Lol yep we do
Same! I don't like being in large groups and I have a hard time connecting with people especially in person. Online I feel more confident talking to people rather face to face.
- 1 y
@thelovelyinteovert yeah, but face to face is more fun. ;)

1 yI used to think I did because I was shy myself back in high school/college days. Well I learned after dating a couple shy girls that it's actually kind of frustrating conversing with them and getting them to open up to you.
I prefer a girl that isn't afraid to voice her opinions and has a lot to say about different topics. I love getting to know a girl that has a passion for life and outgoing girls seem to have more of that vibe.
I'm not the old me that was okay taking my time being patient with people that take a while to open up. Time is valuable to me. I want someone that's on the same wavelength as me.
It's honestly okay if she's shy, as long as she has no issues conversing and being open about herself and her opinions.10 Reply - 3.5K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yIt really doesn't matter. Both types have their plusses and minuses.

That's a fair comment ,🥳🥳🥳
I don't mind either tbh. I'm introverted, but I'm very confident. I'm sociable, but I get exhausted from a long day of hanging out with friends/ new people that I have to spend at least 3 days by myself. An outgoing girl isn't a problem if she understands my need to keep my space, and a shy girl isn't an issue either since I prefer my own company over that of others. She can be there without being there, just sort of in the background.
What I care about most is value alignment, and I find that introverted women (not necessarily shy but also could be) happen to be more likely to match my values, but that's just a broad generalization of course and I would need to know the person more.

1 y50/50 I prefer a girl who is sometimes shy and sometimes outgoing. In other words, a girl who is very comfortable with herself but also doesn't feel a need to seek validation.
If I had to choose, I would say I prefer a girl who is genuinely shy. Just because those girls are generally a bit more kind.
Outgoing girls are great too though, being outgoing can be a superpower when it comes to making connections and moving forward in life.
Fortunately for me, Raine embodies the best traits from both worlds :)

1 yNeither really, reserved would be a better word? The typical timid/shy type isn’t really my thing, I like a girl with some confidence. But super outgoing people aren’t my thing either. I’m definitely not anxious or uncomfortable around a bunch of people, I just prefer peace and quiet
41 Reply 19.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Outgoing, shy girls don’t talk at all hardly what do we have in common if they don’t say two words, but just Nod their head. Do you know how boring that is? I like outgoing girls, but I don’t like girls outgoing to other men when they’re with me
30 ReplyI just asked 4 guys at my job. They all say shy girls. It's because they think an outgoing one is more likely to be a who're... I don't know myself, anymore. I'm 59, and am able to sift through them & get to the one that gets real with me because she likes ME. 😎

Anonymous(30-35)1 yit's a lie. i grew up shy (still kinda am) and every guy says "oh yay a shy girl, i love shy girls, i'd rather not have someone talk all the damn time"
and then they're like "oh.. wait... why is this girl so shy? this is getting nowhere. i have no patience for this!"
and they leave
so while they say they like shy girls, they have no idea what it actually means to date a shy girl

1 yA shy modest girl sounds like good challenge. I’ve always had this fantasy where I get to bang the girl next door/school girl type. She usually wears a t shirt, jeans and regular panties. Her panties are full coverage simple basic that come in a pack. She could be a slut behind closed door with me as well..
10 Reply 1.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I think a lot of both girls and guys are shy at first but open up quickly after a few dates. Others are really shy and it may take a while for the wheel to break. Knowing this I like both and will give the time needed to see if a relationship is worth pursuing.
10 ReplyA guy I know mentioned that he likes Asian women now because they have family values and I noticed that whenever an Asian woman ignores him, he makes sure to mention how he loves white girls who are very outgoing and not shy.
Seems like it all circles back to outgoing girls.20 Reply- 3.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yIt depends on the guy. In general, introverted guys like shy girls band extroverted guys like more outgoing girls, but there are exceptions
20 Reply 321 opinions shared on Dating topic. I'm an introvert and my type should be shy introverted girls but I don't know why outgoing girls are the ones who stand out to me.. maybe shy girls are too much work..

1 yIn dating id say a shy girl. Just to meet people in general I'd say an outgoing person just because it's easier (and because I'm pretty reserved initially though I wouldn't say shy)
