I've been grooming excess hair since before puberty. And it's now a twice a week routine, plus some daily efforts. Maybe an hour a week total. Not the end of the world. Laser might help you cut back on the time you need to spend, so it could be worth it to keep going. Takes lots of sessions though.

Depression is another topic altogether. the turmoil of relationships can really mess up your ability to stay out of depression. But it's not a good reason to avoid them 100%. Maybe just learn to not invest 100% every time. And if you aren't exercising and getting outdoors regularly, you're just making things worse for yourself. It's like having diabetes and refusing to cut back on soda and candy.

Women mind hair less than you think. The thing about being hairless is it makes a person look younger. Dating someone younger than you is a thing that only appeals to men. Taking gay men's advice on what women find attractive only works reliably for clothes.
