Is giving up on women worth it?

Not suggesting that but I'm just asking.
I personally don't think, that giving up on women yields anything good. I love them too much. They don't cause me any harm or pose any dangers (as long as I don't let myself being taken advantage of that is). I believe the "reward" may be very worth the effort in some cases.

I mean MGTOW has their own business, so I am not going to touch on that. Or those, who prefer to stay single. I have no problems with them or any questions for them in those regards.

But how about you? Do you think it's worth giving up completely on women and miss out on love? Even if you don't believe, that women's love exists until you see it yourself?

I really don't think it's worth giving up on women (or men for the ladies). Taking a break is one thing however.

It depends on the person. Some people should absolutely quit because they refuse to see that they contribute to their own issues. They wouldn't be acceptable dating material anyway and thus would make it much easier for wo/men to pursue others. I really do doubt the men who say they are genuinely happy without a woman in their lives unless if they are consistently getting a form of sexual relief. I am sure there are some men out there like this, but I can't imagine a straight/bisexual man (that prefers women) saying "I am so glad I dumped women and focused more on myself" when he isn't having any sex.

Some should take a break if they think they aren't having any luck, but if they're struggling with depression/loneliness, it would make it even harder for them.

I opted for long-term misery. Some people are genuinely happy alone but most humans crave contact and belonging, which relationships contribute.

I think taking a break is one thing if your grieving or have heartbreak from a relationship before then take some time, but I've a friend who doesn't really like men, doesn't think she could ever date a guy earning more than her, or who works in a more technical job than her (ie business, physicist etc she's planning on being a chemist) and part of me feels a bit of pity for her views. I don't care if the guy I end up with is earning more or less than me, I find the more typical musculine jobs more attractive to me but it doesn't bother me either way

The thing about life is that you really don't know what random unexpected shit's going to happen.

Things are random. You may have been lonely your whole life, but next Tuesday, you end up meeting someone randomly, and your life is forever changed. Just because things haven't gone well yet in no way suggests that they WON'T. You never see that Tuesday coming before it gets there. But on Wednesday... the way you felt before that random meeting will seem like a different person went through it in another lifetime.

Giving up gets you nowhere.

I personally feel like it is the reason for the large increase in gay people, because the genders are starting to give up on the opposite gender and as such feel like they just can't get along, think of it like this.

Gay theoretically means 100% given up on the opposite gender
Bi-sexual theoretically means 50% given up on the opposite gender
Asexual theoretically means giving up on both genders
and so on.

Now it is fair to say it is a sexual preference we are born with, but it is also fair to say that a lot of people become a different sexual preference because they have experienced situations with a gender that has put them off, leading to a preference of a different gender.

I don't know, giving up mean giving up for your whole life so it might be a little bit extreme (especially if you didn't have got any real bad experience personally).
So I would say if you feel confused or anything else taking a break (even a big one) is the best first option and after your break then see how you feel and then you can decide either you want to give up or not.

I would say best option is to live your life without waiting for anytime and just let life do itself without actively searching for anything (like not actively searching one relationship or actively avoiding one).

Not all MGTOW are the same.
Some MGTOW do their own thing and you won't see them here. Those guys are the true MGTOW, they may have their own home and live life the way they like - those I can only respect.
But the loud and vocal ones from MGTOW, who you can see here saying "I am MGTOW, bitches! wahmen are evil sloots, whose hive minded mission is to destroy all men!!!" or those MGTOW videos on youtube like MGTOW101 (he's a goner now. @Unit1 I hear what you're saying. But I find the entire premise of MGTOW to be SO wrong, SO twisted, SO sad, it offends me to my very core. It's an indication of something seriously wrong amongst men and boys these days.

The idea that a significant number of men are open to, and increasingly buying into this to me clearly shows something's very very wrong.

If I hadn't had women in my life: My mother, my lovers, my friends... Honestly... my life would have been devoid of most of it's happiness. I have had such positive experiences with women (particularly some very close friendships) my entire life, that I KNOW MGTOW have a false view of women and their relation to men. Every single day of my life has given me evidence to support the exact opposite view of women.

So when I think about what an emotionally stunted person I would have been without women, when I think of all the female friends who've had my back (man... I've been through some shit... the idea that women don't care about guys... I know many who've proven to me that's absolutely not true... over and over for decades)... I honestly feel sorry for any guy who doesn't have good women in his life, or has had some experience that embitters him so much he shuts out the entire sex. It seems to me like such a sad, stunted existence.

It's not that MGTOW are the worst of this New Misogyny Movement. Far from it. Most of the other ideologies under this misogyny umbrella are way worse.

I look at MGTOW more as "lost little boys' (regardless of age) whereas the rest of them... they're straight-up enemies... to be challenged, checked and ridiculed at every encounter.

My biggest problem with MGTOW is that it exists. So when someone feels like the Original Poster is feeling "should I just give up" unlike any other time in recent history, there's a growing group of guys to say "YES, YES YOU SHOULD. WE DID... COME JOIN US BROTHER ITS SAFE OVER HERE.
