So, my boyfriend is very weight conscious. I'll be honest, I struggle with mine. Always have. We have been together a long time. I know he still pines for his ex girlfriend from his college days. she's married now. Two kids. I saw a photo. She's overweight and not aging well. And he's pining away for THAT. While trying to tell me how I should get into better shape. Wth? How does he not see the irony?

There are people that like skinny partners and there are people that like them with a few more pounds on their bones. There is never the right middle and to satisfy one person is always a difficult task.

If you were the way you are now when you met your boyfriend, then he accepted you the way you are and there is no justification whatsoever for his comments and remarks about your appearance.

People change over the course of time and if he does not like the way you look, then maybe he should find someone that is more in his line of beauty model. There is no need to change anything just to please him. It is either take it or leave it.

Being critical of your weight is the worst thing he can do when he knows you struggle with it. If he doesn't appreciate you just the way you are, I suggest you find someone who will.
