Why does he like me but make fun of my looks?

hii guys! This guy I've known has liked me for a while, and would always try to talk to me. Safe to say I did like him back for a while, untill randomly he started calling me fat or make fun of my face after just being nice to me? Iv'e noticed this happens when i dont give him enough attention or when some other male is talking to me harmlessly. If he likes me, why is he treating me so poorly. He tries to single me out of conversations sometimes to make himself look cool infront of his friends too, but then gets mad at his friends for laughing with me. what a weird guy. anyways :( help a fellow human out

Some people now call this "negging" (like "nagging" but by using little jabs to poke fun at you). The purpose theoretically is to knock you down a peg or two so that you're more at "his level" or a little lower so he feels more confident in making a pass at you.

SIGH... personally, it's a mind-f* sort of game so I tend to walk away from anyone (guy or girl) who likes to do this. It can be slightly confusing at best, but also heavily toxic at its worst.

in my opinion, just walk away from a guy like that. He doesn't deserve your attention.

He sounds like he is a manipulator, you are best to move on from him , when someone is constantly hot and cold towards you? , that is a red flag that they have manipulative behavior and sadly they can mess your head up if you fall for it , mainly with all the mind games they will put you through. Do yourself a favor and move on from him , he will make your life a living hell. I was in a relationship with a manipulative girl that was hot and cold towards me to find out she suffered from severe depress and anxieties , she was sweet and caring to me for a short period of time and than all of a sudden she treated me like shit and put me down and made me feel hurt inside by the thing a she was saying to me , it’s sadly a mental illness that you are best to stay away from. Unless you want to be in a relationship with someone that leaves a constant question mark over your head on whether they love you or not? Don’t fall for this behavior , trust me

You are still young be the very best you can be , make sure your weight is perfect , be well groomed , make a big effort , consistent effort , and then you will not care what this guy is saying.

I go to the gym frequently and actually am in the best shape I've ever been in! On the other hand, he is very skinny and eats junk food everyday. Power to him but he's not in the position to be judging my weight.

Females should always be the correct weight , and proper gym programs promote same , not Type 2 diabetties , which is killing so many in the US and will KILL so many more , especially if they are not the absolute correct weight at quite a young age..

@pompom1234 Very well said , both men and women ( for lifetime ) need to be the correct weigh and in the very least doing some cardio and resistance work , thats everyone , every age , and no processed foods.

Anyhow , going back to the original question , and your answer on this issue , I'd say the original guy is being an arsehole because he does nothing himself , and is scared of you. You know , the constant put downs , as he doesn't want to make an effort. On summary you are probably too good for him and he's a lazy sht.

Overdeveloped muscles are grotesque. The shapes that gyms encourage are disgusting. There is nothing "best" about it. It is wholly unnatural. Neither men nor women are meant to be that shape. The male form developed through hunting to procure food for the rest of the family. It was not meant for sitting on a bench lifting lumps of metal up and down to no discernible end. And as for the female form, if it is skinny, that just makes her look malnourished and impoverished.

The correct weight , and BMI will be the greatest judge of your longevity. But if you are lazy , and you do little exercise , cardio , and processed food , you will end with type 2 diabetes , blood pressure , everything else under the sun , a shorter life , and be in far worse shape while you are above ground , you will also cost the health ( and hence others ) a plethora.
The body is made to move , be active , not an over weight , lazy slob.

No, not "out of shape". In a superior shape, as opposed to a twig (girls) or meat-cloud (guys).
If you need physical exertion then clean the home, vacuum the carpets, scrub the bathroom, go out and get the shopping, help a friend move home, walk a dog... or even just going outside and going for a walk is going to be better for you than cooping yourself up in a sweat-tank with a bunch of metal contraptions made to destroy your muscles so you can force them to rebuild themselves over and over again. Doing that takes years off your life, y'know.
