When I was college age, it was disrespectful to ignore anyone, let alone a peer of the opposite gender.
Ignoring wasn't seen as a flirting technique. It was one way to straight up turn guys away. You know, the ones you don't want to attract, or to be hitting on you girls. Now I see how the ignore is being used more to do reverse psychology on guys. It doesn't work on old-fashioned guys. It actually backfires and makes me mad. So be careful with that. Learn to beguile. And for the guy you are trying to attract, he might ignore you back in turn.
