Should I keep ignoring him or tell him off?

Basically this guy and I have been on and off for 3 years. This final time, he cheated on me and I decided I was done. He is emotionally abusive ( has gotten physical- grabbing on me, holding me against the wall), puts me down, then cries, then threatens to hurt himself if I don't talk to him. He's been texting me non stop for 3 days now. ( I attached the messages below ) . And calling over and over. I stopped replying and haven't messaged back since. Should I just continue to ignore him or say something? Is this normal behavior from a guy? I'm in the blue, his messages are in the gray.

Doesn't take on responsibility and says he'll self harm himself if you goe away (it's a cry for attention), if someone close does that to you they need to be psych evaluated and go into therapy. Him beating you is unjustifiable, he needs to work on himself first before he latch on to someone else and work through his agression and self esteem.
