Why is my best friend being so jealous that I have a date tomorrow night?

So a guy messaged me on the dating site Monday and he lives in the same area as I do so I decided to give him a chance. We talked for a while of course after work. He just send me his number to text him just now but I’m kind of nervous to give my number to him. I sent it back. He’s texting me ‘What’s up beautiful tall lady?”

Mind you I don’t take compliments very well. Some people say I do but I really don’t. I’ve always felt gross because I’m very tall at 6’4 and I’m slender. He knows how tall I am since I put my height on them. I was expecting him to be thrown off but he said tall big girls are sexy. We’ll I’m slender not big.
My best friend told me don’t go along with the date because he may not be who I think he is and he may lie about his height. She knows how many date disappointments I’ve had but this one is different. She said don’t be so stupid and naive and dare apps are dangerous. She also thinks he’s going to dump my ass as soon as he sees me. Her and I had a fight and I told her for once let me be happy and stop being negative.
I have a date tomorrow night for dinner and that’s that. The guy told me he’s 6’6. I checked his profile and pictures to make she he isn’t lying and he actually is. I’ve seen his pictures and he is almost taller than the doorway. Anyways he seems pretty intelligent and interesting. Why is my best friend tripping? Besties can be your worst jealous enemies. Sorry but it’s rude. Some couples met online and had successful dates and relationships so why can’t I?
