Are you out of luck with dating if you don’t want to date a single mom?

So I simply don’t know if I want kids, and I’m seeing that most dating apps mainly are single moms is this the end of the road for dating because I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to be forced into something that you don’t really want to do

I have no issue raising kids I did not give birth to but I would have difficulty giving a chance to a guy who abandoned his baby mama after she had his kid. If he did not respect her sacrifice in child birth, he might not respect my sacrifice either so I would shut him down before the first day.

Unless you’re desperate then no, you never have to settle or force yourself to pursue certain women. This just comes with the territory, as you get older a good amount of the women in your age range are more likely to be single mothers and fathers. Of course this isn’t always the case, like I’m in my 30s with no kids and so are several of my female friends. So I really think it comes down to being patient.

Hardly. But dating apps can be be a wasteland so maybe try meeting women in real life. Museums / art galleries and volunteering always seem to work for me. Especially with volunteering, as you pretty much know - unless she filling a sentence for community service - that she cares about others.

Eliminating single moms, just like any other restriction you impose, reduces the size of the dating pool. However, every single woman your age is not necessarily a mom.

At this age, it's rare to find a partner that didn't have a previous marriage, with kids and all, so sadly you either have to overstep that boundary of yours or just narrow your search. There obviously still are women that are in their 30s and have no kids and are not planing to have any, but the number is slightly slim I guess.
So it's not really you being out of luck, it's just you having your boundaries that will narrow down the numbers of women that you could date.

I think that's more of an issue with dating in your age range. It says you're 30-35, there will be some women around that age who did get pregnant in their 20's and are now single moms, more so than if you were still in your 20's.

However that's definitely not all women in that age range and it could take time but you don't have to give up entirely on finding love. You could also try looking for a woman a bit younger than you.
