Is my sensei flirting with me?

He’s probably about a decade older than me, maybe slightly less, a foot shorter than me and slightly balding and chubby but these things don’t bother me. He’s also very well respect as an assistant sensei, a teacher and a master electrician. My achievements are pathetic compared to him so he’s probably out of my league so I’m going to ask anyway.

He really likes joking around with me and laughs at every joke I make. He always has a beaming smile when he sees me and has recently been insistent on giving me rides home from class especially if he sees I’ve ordered an uber. The first thing he asked me in the first ride home was why he never sees my partner at the dojo. I’m struggling with a failing relationship right now and don’t plan to run right into another one so the only reason I’m asking is to gauge how to handle it going forward.

He’s also bought me dessert/shared it with me at post seminar dinners and bought a book directly from the person I lost out to at a seminar auction and then snuck it in my bag, refusing to admit it was him who did it even though others told me they saw him sneak it in there. He also insists on touching me a lot to correct my grip and stance as we do Iaido (Japanese swords).
