Long story short, I'm at the bar (sophomore in college) and ran into my TA for a class that I'm currently taking (he's in his early to mid 20s). I figured what was the harm in saying hello - he commented on how different I looked from class and was in total disbelief. Told me a story about being too hung over for the class and bagged the professor he worked for. I got a little flirty - grabbed his arm - keeping him in a gaze.
We talked about bit about the class. I ran into him again at the bar later in the same night - he was happy to see me again - introduced me to the people he came to the bar with. He told me he knew I was under 21 and I had a fake ID but he didn't care. We talked a bit about night life and partying. I told him that I was surprised he was there and I was honest and told him I thought he was a nerd. and he laughed and said he loves to party. He asked me a bunch of questions about my personal life - major, etc.
He then offered to buy everyone a drink - asking me if I wanted one and asked me to come with him alone to get drinks. Here, I decided to make a move. I sidled up to him, started tracing circles on his chest, and asked him if he was straight (We were at a gay bar and I had my suspicions that he was gay) and he held my gaze and told me he was very straight and asked if I was straight. I told him, I was and he said "well, that's good to know." Anyways, he was very insistent on buying me a drink. I told me I felt bad and I didn't want to spend money on me. The real reason was because there was another fellow TA there - a female one who I suspected had a massive crush on him. He said he didn't care and that if it was because I felt weird about him being my TA, it's not like that. and then he was like "don't text people in the class about what's going on. what happens stays between me and you."
We get back to the crowd, I decide to leave because the female TA is literally throwing a hissy fit - hiding in the corner and glaring at me. I didn't want him to get in trouble because of her. I tell him good bye and he grabs my arm and holds my gaze and says "It was great seeing you. Have a great night. I'll see you in class. Be safe."
Anyways, I see him during the next class session. He makes a point to purposely avoid my section. The female TA from the night out makes a random round in her class and asks him a stupid question (I thought it was ironic because she had never made an appearance in our class before). When I went to go hand something in, he held my gaze and smiled and said "hey. have a good one."
The last class is the next one. Considering the fact that he won't be my TA anymore, I don't even attend this institution school round and the grade I get in the class doesn't matter (I won't get credit), I was thinking to slip him my number in the last class when we're alone and tell him that he still owes me a drink from the bar.
